Terms of Use

Last updated October 11, 2026

Quaddy is a place for students to share honest course experiences, ask their campus for help, and find work. Be accurate, be decent to people, and don’t post anything you don’t have the right to post. Everything students write here comes from students — treat it as opinion, not fact. These terms explain the rest.

1.About these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Quaddy (“Quaddy”, “we”, “us”) covering the Quaddy website and mobile app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.

2.Who can use Quaddy

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. The Service is built for university and college students, but we don’t verify enrolment, and you don’t need to be enrolled to read the public parts.

You may hold one account, and you’re responsible for what happens under it. Keep access to the Google account you sign in with secure, and tell us at profhanad100@gmail.com if you believe someone else is using your account.

3.Your campus is something you choose

You pick your campus yourself. We do not verify it with your school, we don’t require a school email address, and choosing a campus is not a claim that your school endorses you or us. Campus-only areas — course discussions, campus posts, classmate lists, study groups and events — follow the campus on your profile, and you can change it a limited number of times.

Because campuses are self-declared, treat campus areas as semi-public: anyone who chooses that campus can read them. Private messages, your saved items and your drafts are never opened up by a campus change.

4.What you post

You keep ownership of what you write, upload or share (“your content”). By posting it, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce and distribute it within the Service, for as long as you keep it posted, so that we can show it to the people you’ve chosen to show it to. That licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies kept in routine backups for a limited time, and except where someone else has already been shown it, such as a message they received.

Only post content you have the right to post. Don’t post:

  • Harassment, bullying, threats, or attacks on a person rather than their work or their class.
  • Hate speech or content that demeans people because of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any similar characteristic.
  • Private information about anyone — including a professor — such as a home address, a personal phone number, or anything shared with you in confidence.
  • Sexual content, content involving minors, or anything illegal.
  • Exam papers, answer keys, graded work or anything else that helps someone cheat, and anything that breaks your school’s academic-integrity rules.
  • Copyrighted material you don’t own or have permission to share, including textbooks, slides and recordings.
  • Spam, advertising, referral links, paid promotion, or repetitive posting.
  • Impersonation of another student, a professor, a school, an employer or us.
  • Malware, or attempts to break, overload, scrape or bypass the Service’s security or access controls.

5.Course experiences and reviews

Course experiences are published anonymously and are limited to one per course, professor and term. When you write one:

  • Write from your own experience of the class. Don’t write about a class you didn’t take, and don’t write on someone else’s behalf.
  • Rate the teaching and the workload, not the person. Comments about someone’s appearance, personal life, accent, immigration status or protected characteristics aren’t allowed.
  • Don’t post the same experience more than once, and don’t ask anyone to post ratings for you.
  • Anonymity is not a shield. Anonymous content must follow these Terms, and moderators can hide it and restrict its author without learning who they are.

Ratings and averages on the Service are aggregates of what students chose to submit. They are opinions, they may be few in number, and they may be wrong. Don’t rely on them alone for an academic or financial decision.

6.Messages and contacting other students

Messages are for genuine student-to-student conversation. Don’t use them to advertise, to recruit for paid services, to send bulk messages, or to contact someone who has asked you to stop. Blocking someone ends messaging between you both ways, and we may limit how many messages or requests an account can send.

When a conversation starts from an anonymous post, the anonymous person stays anonymous unless they choose to reveal themselves. Don’t try to work out or publish who they are.

7.Moderation and enforcement

Anyone can report content. Moderators can hide content, remove records, mute or suspend an account, and in serious or repeated cases remove an account entirely. We act on what breaks these Terms; we may also act where content creates a real risk of harm.

We aim to give a reason when we hide content or restrict an account. If you think we got it wrong, reply to the notice or write to profhanad100@gmail.com and a human will look again.

8.Jobs, internships and employers

Job and internship listings shown in Careers come from third parties, currently The Muse, and from students and organisations posting on campus boards. We don’t employ anyone, we don’t screen employers, and we are not a party to your application. Always apply through the original posting and check who you’re dealing with.

Be careful with job scams, which target students in particular. No legitimate employer asks you to pay to be hired, to deposit a cheque and forward part of it, or to buy gift cards. Report a suspicious posting and we’ll remove it.

9.Your career profile and resume

Your career profile and resume are private until you choose otherwise, and you control who can see them. If you share a resume, the people allowed to see your profile can open it — so only include what you’re comfortable sharing with other students.

10.Our content and trade marks

The Service itself — its design, code, text and logo — belongs to us or our licensors, and these Terms don’t give you any right to use our name or logo. School names, professor names and employer names appear for identification only; those schools, people and companies don’t endorse the Service.

11.Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account. You can choose whether your anonymous contributions stay up, detached from you, or go with it. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these Terms, or where we must for legal or safety reasons.

12.What we don’t promise

The Service is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted, error free, or that content posted by students is accurate, complete or up to date. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

13.Changes

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. When we make a material change we’ll update the date at the top and, where it matters, tell you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where the law of your home country gives you the right to bring a claim locally.
